Sanctuary

The concept for Sanctuary was based on a response to the needs of patients, family members and staff of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. Elyn Zimmerman's Sanctuary is intended to function as an intimate gathering area suitable for conversation and reflection. The location of the piece, which is adjacent to the Center's North entrance and cafeteria/patio, is close enough to the hospital so that users can experience the serene environment of Sanctuary, while not traveling far from the hospital.

Sanctuary is a calm, secluded retreat in the morning light.
